Adding a Location/Sub-Location In The
HazSoft-Internet Hosted Application.

Situation:
You want to add locations and/or sub-locations to your version of the HazSoft-Internet System.

What you do:
First, let's take a minute to understand the hierarchy of the database:  

There are four levels in the HazSoft hierarchy. When your business was setup by us in the system, your business became the top level and there can only be one top level for each business.  Under this top level you can add as many second level locations as you need, and you may add as many third level locations as you need under each second level. Finally, you may add as many fourth level locations as you need under each third level location.

As an example, a company's hierarchy may look something like this:

YOUR COMPANY (Top Level)

1st Level two location
     Level three location #1
     Level three location #2
          Level four location A
          Level four location B

2nd Level two location
     Level three location #1
          Level four location A
     Level three location #2
          Level four location B

And so on...

Now, how do you make this all happen?

If you want to add a new Level two location...

1. First, you must login and you must have at least view/add/edit permission.
2. After login, choose the "locations" link on the menu bar (Top of the page, under the HazSoft logo graphic).
3. You will now see a drop-down box reading "Select Location," a button reading "Add Location" and a button reading "Edit Company." 
4. Choose the "Add Location" button.
5. Enter at least the new location name, plus any of the rest of the information you choose to. You can always come back later and "Edit" this information.
6. Choose the "Save" button and now your new location can be seen from the drop-down list under "Select Location."
7. Repeat steps 1 - 6 for each level two location you need to add.

If you want to add a level three location under a level two...

1. First, select the level two location that you want to add the level three location to.
2. Choose the "Add Location" button on the left-hand side of the page. This will add the level three location under the level two location you chose.
3. Enter at least the new location name, plus any of the rest of the information you choose to. You can always come back later and "Edit" this information.
4. Choose the "Save" button and now your new location can be seen from the drop-down list under "Select Location."
5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 for each level three location you need to add.

If you want to add a level four location under a level three...

1. First, select the level three location that you want to add the level four location to.
2. Choose the "Add Sub-Location" button on the left-hand side of the page. This will add the level four location under the level three location you chose.
3. Enter at least the new location name, plus any of the rest of the information you choose to. You can always come back later and "Edit" this information.
4. Choose the "Save" button and now your new location can be seen from the drop-down list under "Select Sub-Location."
5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 for each level four location you need to add.
